Chinese Fried Rice Recipe | Veg Fried Rice Recipe | How to make Fried Rice

It is a very common Indo Chinese dish and also one of the favorite street food in India. It is very common among children and teenagers and an important part of the Chinese dinner menu in India.
I have used all the veggies like bell peppers, cabbage, carrot peas and baby corn with a mix of soya sauce and black pepper. We can do a lot of variation in this. We can make Corn and Capsisum Fried rice, Purple and green cabbage Fried rice, Schezwan Fried Rice, Paneer Fried rice and Mushroom Fried rice.

The important thing to be kept in mind while making any kind of Fried rice is to use rice which is either at room temperature or kept in fridge. Hot and steamy rice are full of starch that will the entire dish sticky. I have cooked the rice 1 hour before and kept t for cooling down. You can also use left over rice for this.

Fried Rice can be served with Veg Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian, and Hot Garlic Mushroom Sauce.

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 bowl boiled rice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 4 Babycorn (optional)
  • 4 Mushroom (optional)
  • 1 Capsicum (Red/ green/ yellow)
  • 4 French Fries
  • 1 tbsp Soya Sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chilli sauce
  • salt (To taste)
  • 1/4 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Big Spring Onion
  • 1 tbsp green peas (optional)
  • 6 pieces Paneer (optional)

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 bowl boiled rice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 4 Babycorn (optional)

  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chilli sauce
  • salt (To taste)
  • 1/4 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Big Spring Onion
  • 1 tbsp green peas (optional)
  • 6 pieces Paneer (optional)
Instructions
  1. Boil 1 bowl of Basmati rice and let it cool down atleast 1 hour.
  2. Take 1 Tbsp oil in a pan and add onions to it.
  3. Once the onions are slightly red, add capsicum, carrot, cabbage, french beans, green peas, baby corn, mushroom and paneer to it.
  4. Saute all the veggies (Do not overcook).
  5. Remove all the veggies to a plate
  6. Now put 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and add boiled rice to it. Add black pepper and salt.
  7. Saute rice for 1 minute and then add all the cooked veggie to it.
  8. Next, add soya suace, chilli sauce and vinegar to it.
  9. Garnish Fried rice with leaves of Spring Onion.
